This proposal designed with Portland studio Ditroen was the winning entry in the Denver Gold Line windscreen design competition.
The nationwide competition was to affect the glass windscreen partitions at each platform along the new 7-station Gold Line commuter rail currently under construction.
Our solution will be a track-length narrative describing gold's influence on the immediate area and surrounding region through both word and image. We'll be embedding gold-leaf text within the glass and creating large scale pattern and image through sandblasting and laser cut gold painted aluminum paneling applied to the glass.
The final designs will be created in Fall 2015 for installation in Summer 2016.
